Why this site exists
English-language material on using crypto in Central Asia tends to be one of three things: years out of date, transplanted from somewhere with completely different rules, or a sales pitch. Meanwhile the situation here has its own specifics — a volatile local currency, awkward cross-border transfers, a regulatory framework that was only systematised in 2026, and criminal enforcement against unlicensed operators.
Those are problems a guide written for somewhere else cannot solve. We wrote this to set them out concretely, in a way people who actually live here can use.
Who we are
The site is maintained by an independent editor. Articles carry a pen name (currently mostly "Lin Du"), and we say so openly: it is not a real name, and we do not invent credentials, years of experience or institutional backing to lend ourselves weight.
Why a pen name? Because writing about regulation, risk and specific platforms' problems under a real name invites trouble we do not need. What we offer in exchange is method: wherever something can be verified independently, we tell you how to verify it — which register, which columns, what a pass looks like. You should not have to trust us. You should be able to check.
We keep no social accounts and accept no paid placement of any kind.
What we do not write
- No market calls, no coin picks. You will not find "what to buy now" here.
- No hard numbers for things that change. Fees, tax rates, limits — we give ranges, verification methods and the date we checked, not a figure that expires.
- No invented first-hand data. No "tested at 14:23 on the 3rd", and no claims to evidence we cannot produce.
- No legal or tax advice. Where a question depends on your specific circumstances we say to get local professional advice — not as a disclaimer, but because those questions genuinely require the full facts.
How this is funded
The site carries exchange referral links. Their placement, labelling and the editorial limits around them are set out on the disclosure page.
To stop that shaping the writing, we set ourselves rules: coded links appear only on pages where they genuinely belong, at most one per page; references to exchange fee schedules and help documents never carry a code; informational articles carry no coded links at all. The full version is on the disclosure page.
What we are not: we are not an exchange, not any platform's official site, and we have no affiliation, agency or representative relationship with any exchange. We never hold anyone's funds.
When we get it wrong
We will. Crypto and regulation both move quickly and our judgement will sometimes be off.
When we find an error we fix it and record it on the corrections page — what changed and why. We do not quietly edit and pretend it never happened.
If you spot something wrong, please tell us; details on the contact page. How we work is set out in the editorial policy.
Risk notice: crypto prices move violently and you can lose everything you put in. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice. Some jurisdictions restrict crypto assets — check the current rules where you are.
